Sensors
Sensors are devices for remote detection of persons, objects or materials. Some examples are radar, infrared or visible light cameras, sonars and radiometers.
Vehicles are gradually becoming a common platform for sensors of different kinds, such as anti-collision radar. The great effort among the car industry and subcontractors for making radar an affordable technology renders possibilities to leverage on the development for other purposes.
Trebax develops radar based systems for range detection and for detection of moving objects or persons. The applications are i e surveillance and industrial robot security. Our work with radar is a natural growth from our knowledge of microwave radio and we make use of technology made price-wise accessible through volume applications in neighboring fields. We have got demonstration systems ready to show possibilities and functionality of radar.
To safely judge the outside world conditions, a system may need several sensors of different kinds. Data from these sensors must be weighed against each other before being presented to the decision taker, be it a human or a computer. This signal processing is referred to as sensor fusion.
Sensor fusion needs to be dynamic depending on speed, visibility, light or other environmental circumstances that may be rapidly changing. With our knowledge of sensor fusion, Trebax can respond to customers’ needs for various applications within detection and automatic control.
